Here’s what I used to make the FTL soundtrack(r/Games)

Thanks! Others might disagree with me, but I think a solid grounding in music theory is absolutely essential. There was a time when I’d play my music for others and their reaction was something along the lines of “meh.” Once I started applying theory to my work and making real chord progressions and understanding how the pieces fit together, people started enjoying my work a whole lot more. Get this book: www.amazon.com/Complete-Idiots-Theory-Lifestyle-Pa… I’ve read several books on theory, but that one was the best in my opinion. There are some people who can intuitively make great music without understanding theory. There aren’t many of them though, and I’m certainly not one of them. 😛
