America is for rich people – “The income gap is so wide, people who aren’t rich have a hard time seeing just how much they’re struggling, let alone being ripped off. “(r/politics)

This should disgust about 95% of America…

… and yet we have about 40% of these families actually fighting to ensure it gets worse, by voting for people that will even go as far as shutting down our government and threatening America’s credit worthiness to ensure the wealthy get more wealthy, and the rest of us keep working harder for them under threat of having even more taken…

The class war is over, and the vast majority of us were decimated. They now just want the scraps, and almost half of us want them to take it. It’s insane.

The gap alone is what is crushing us. It’s that large at this point. It has absolutely nothing to do with envy. Watch the video. Most of us are working harder, and it’s all going to… not you… . Today, in America, hard work doesn’t guarantee a livable wage. That takes being born into a wealthy family… and that breaks one of our nation’s greatest societal contracts.

Class movement is dead, the American dream is gone… and it’s killing our nation. Human beings only need hope and opportunity to thrive. They just want to be fairly compensated for their work (we are some of the hardest working people in the world…).

Removing hope and opportunity as some sort of sadistic incentive to work even harder for less, is just your classic master/slave relationship.
