Hi guys, started August 2012 started losing weight really quick. By October i was down 20 lbs. December I reached my goal if 185, and by mid January i was down to 180. Since january ive hit a plateau but my weight effectively varies from 176-180. It seems to be coming down but very slowly im convinced i will need to start an exercise regiment to further my results.

I started with my macros 65/30/5% carbs. Around late november since i wasnt exercising and i plateaued for a good while at 190-195, i upped my fats to 70+% and went to almost zero carb as possible. i added extra mayo, heavy cream, olive oil to almost everything.

I shrank from an XL shirt size down to a medium. Size 38 pants to 34 and i have been able to rock some 33s in some styles. Had to buy entirely new set of clothes.

The reason i chose not to exercise was because in november i picked up a second job, which i thought i would have never done. Maybe its the weight loss that helps out, but im convinced keto just gives tons of energy to an able body. before keto, @ my primary job, the shifts would just drag out and i would be so beaten down at the end of the day. my 2nd job is part time but 3 days out of the week im working 16 hours a day and i still got energy to spare afterwards. rarely on a day do i feel tired. i highly reccommend anyone with multiple jobs, considering a second job, or have long work hours that keto is the way to go. I’d eventually would like to start exercising lifting weights, cardio etc but at the moment it is not feasible with my schedule.

My Keto Pro Tips

Buy Good Bacon. the last thing you want to do is turn yourself away from a good thing, especially since bacon has a perfect macronutrient combination. so go ahead and splurge buy the extra thick center cut. while your at it watch a youtube video on how to properly cook it as well.

Use MyFitness Pal a month or two and log everything. specifically youll find out alot of foods that have hidden carbs. carrots, onions, imitation crab meat, squid, oysters etc.

Don’t Tell Anyone About Keto everyone automatically assumes your killing yourself. pull an alec baldwin and just say your allergic to sugar. even if they really want to kno.

a good book to read is gary taube’s Why We Get Fat and What to do about it. its not a lengthy book and it will augment and solidify your knowlege on keto, what happens inside your body in ketosis, and evidence why other diets do not work. The book just makes a whole lot of sense and it sets you up to defend your stance on why a ketogenic diet will not kill you.
