What Pavlovian response have you developed accidentally?(r/AskReddit)

A few summers ago, I had a job at a hospital. (Almost) every day, I would get sushi from this small restaurant for lunch. I’m the kind of person who orders the same thing over and over again, so pretty much every day I had the same lunch. I also happened to be reading a very long book that summer, and lunchtime = reading time. After the summer was over, and the book wasn’t, every time I went to read it I could smell/taste sushi. It was very strange. And now whenever I go to that restaurant I think of the book.

Edit: Sorry for the delay guys, the book was Mortals and I highly recommend it. And it took me a whole summer to read because a. it is about 750 pages, and b. I pretty much only had time to read it over lunch.
