All of these arguments are touched on in-depth in his book. To understand the argument you also have to remember the distinction between education (as a system) and learning (as an action). Learning is great, but many students receive 12-16 years of education and retain very little. Education doesn’t have to be so expensive; with the internet it can be essentially free- yet we expect most of the population to attend expensive colleges (where the average student spends very little time actually learning).
