It’s more important that you introduce him to the concepts of philosophy, rather than famous philosophers per se. There are a ton of philosophers and yeah, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.
Get him The Pig that Wants to be Eaten. It condenses the most interesting stuff and cuts out the jargon and the fluff. Spend five minutes reading one experiment and I dare you to spend less than an hour discussing with your son.
