The list here is overwhelmingly ancient and practice-focused. Meditations leads with 990 mentions — more than the entire top-six of r/philosophy combined — and Epictetus alone accounts for two entries: the Enchiridion (629) and the Discourses (204). Modern popularisations like The Daily Stoic (234) and The Obstacle Is the Way (124) sit comfortably in the upper half, which is not something you would see on r/askphilosophy, where Kant's Critique of Pure Reason tops the list at 216 and Marcus Aurelius does not appear at all. r/Stoicism readers want books they can use; the academic canon is mostly absent.
